My Calling
My calling began during a phase when I felt the need to pause and reflect on myself more deeply after practicing as a psychologist for six years. During that time, I experienced a sense of incompleteness along with a strong desire to learn more and grow into a more evolved and conscious version of myself.
It was during this period that I decided to begin working on my own inner world through shadow work. I went deeper into studying the work of Carl Jung, exploring Jungian psychotherapy, art therapy, and the process of understanding the hidden and unacknowledged parts of the self. This journey was both professional and deeply personal.
Being Indian and connected to a spiritual path, I have also been a learner of Advaita Vedanta, which offers an understanding of oneness and non-duality. Alongside this, Buddhist psychology has supported my spiritual understanding and learning over the past ten years, helping me cultivate awareness, acceptance, and balance.
I have also practiced self-hypnosis to work through feelings such as resentment and anxiety, allowing me to better understand the inner processes of healing and change. Over time, Positive Psychotherapy approaches have not just been methods I study, but experiences I have lived and continue to integrate in my own life.
I strongly believe that a therapist who is committed to authentic self-awareness and inner work is better able to support others in reconnecting with their own authentic and true self. Positive Psychotherapies comes from this ongoing journey of learning, reflection, and inner transformation.
